Platts — Conference Visual Kit & On-Site Branding

Industry: Energy & Commodities, B2B Conferences
Region: US / EMEA
Engagement: Conference visual kit (one event), print & signage, digital headers
Categories: Logo & Identity, Print, Webdesign
Client: S&P Global Platts (now S&P Global Commodity Insights)

Overview

Platts commissioned us to design a full visual package for one of their energy & commodities conferences. The task was to create an event-level identity that sits on top of the existing Platts look, and to roll it out across everything visitors actually see on site — stage, entrance, agenda, light stands, tickets.

Objectives

  • Create one conference key visual aligned with Platts/S&P layout rules.

  • Apply it to stage/backdrop so it works in photos and behind speakers.

  • Design all attendee-facing print: program booklet, agenda sheet, ticket/badge.

  • Provide OOH/venue pieces: vertical lightbox/totem, roll-ups, welcome/registration panel.

  • Export digital/header versions for pre-event promotion.

Event visual system

We kept the corporate header, logo placement and color hierarchy, then built a topic-driven hero graphic (energy/markets). The KV was prepared in 3 aspect ratios — wide (stage), vertical (roll-ups, lightbox), and horizontal (web/email) — so the event team could mix and match without breaking the design.

Print, agenda & badges

We designed:

  • conference program booklet (cover + inside grid),

  • simplified one-page agenda for quick printing,

  • attendee ticket / badge with sponsor area,

  • and a matching registration desk fascia.

All files were delivered print-ready, with bleed and safe-areas, so the event vendor could output locally.

Stage, roll-ups & lightbox

For the venue itself we created:

  • large stage/backdrop artwork for speaker sessions,

  • side roll-ups for partner/sponsor exposure,

  • a vertical illuminated stand / lightbox using the same KV,

  • and a welcome / photo wall version for social shots.

Outcome

The conference got a single, coherent visual layer: when guests entered, checked the agenda, took notes or watched the talks, everything looked like one Platts event — not a mix of supplier templates.
